This Instruction is to be read inconjunction with the Fire Service (Installation Contractors) Regulations,Fire Services Ordinance, Cap. 95, Laws of Hong Kong. The AccountingProcedures on Registration of Fire Service Installation Contractors,which is kept by EO(P), provide for guidance on payment of fees for theregistration of contractors.(31) inFPB 133/07 II2. The Fire Service (Installation Contractors) Regulations imposecertain powers and duties upon the Director of Fire Services and, at thesame time, limit the Director f s power of delegation (in terms of theseparticular Regulations) to the Deputy Director or a Chief Fire Officer.Legal opinion has confirmed that as long as the Chief Fire Officeractually applies his mind to determining whether an applicant satisfiesthe requirements for registration, his presence at the examination orinterview is not necessary. The Executive Officer(P) has, however, beendesignated to check and verify all documents involved in the registrationprocess.Registration Procedures for Class I and/or 2 ContractorsSubmission of Application3. Applications for registration as a Class 1 and/or 2 FireService Installation Contractor are to be made on a prescribed form (Form1) with the following supporting documents/information :-(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)Officially certified true copy of the company's currentBusiness Registration Certificate;Officially certified true copy of the company's applicationform for registration under the Business RegistrationRegulations;In case of a limited liability company, a printed copy of theMemorandum and Articles of Association and a certified truecopy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the company;A list of equipment owned by the applicant for use in theinstallation, maintenance, inspection or repair of fire serviceinstallation or equipment;The address of every workshop to be used by the applicant as afire service installation contractor;
