Forareas where no purpose built roads are designed,emergency access lanes of not less than 6 m wide must beprovided. Part II - Access to redevelopment areas with or withouta change in lease condition3.1 The minimum criteria are as follows :-3.1.1 Commercial Buildings - Low and High RiseDirect vehicular access for Fire Services appliancesmust be provided to a major face of the building. Thestreet or road serving such major face of the buildingshall have a minimum carriageway width of 6.0 m topermit the efficient manoeuvring of Fire Servicesappliances for rescue and fire fighting purposes*3.1.2 Domestic Buildings (over 3 storeys in height)3.1.2.1 Buildings servedby one staircaseDirect vehicular access for Fire Servicesappliances must be provided to a major face ofthe building. The street or road serving suchmajor face of the building shall have aminimum carriageway width of 6.0 ra to permitthe efficient manoauvring of Fire Servicesappliances for rescue purposes.
