Several case reports suggestthat possible effective psychotherapeutic interventions might includeexposure and response prevention, and supportive or insight-orient<strong>ed</strong> psychotherapy(McElroy et al., 1994).CONCLUSIONSBehavioral addictions, such as the ICDs, have historically receiv<strong>ed</strong> relativelylittle attention from clinicians and researchers. As such, our understanding <strong>of</strong>the basic features <strong>of</strong> these disorders is relatively primitive.
