4.3.2.4. Configuration of “Codec” programmable keys.Programmable keys that are set to “Codec” enables you to assign functions associated withremote control of external communications equipment (such as audio-codecs) throughassociated GPIs and GPOs. A key set to this function is assigned with a dedicated icon.The lower part of the “Programmable Keys” submenu will show the associated options for“Codec” type keys, when this configuration mode is selected.In order to be able to configure the programmable key (or edit a previously createdconfiguration), you have to press the “Edit Configuration” button, to active and allows you toconfigure the following fields:• “Device”: shows a list of pre-programmed devices in the “Codec” function. Theavailable options are:o “CA33”: optional internal dual digital telephone hybrid module of <strong>AEQ</strong>CAPITOL. For more information see section 2.2.3.5 of this manual.o “TH02”: digital telephone hybrid <strong>AEQ</strong> TH02EX. For more information pleaseconsult the <strong>AEQ</strong> website.o “Eagle”: ISDN audio-codec <strong>AEQ</strong> EAGLE. For more information please consultthe <strong>AEQ</strong> website.o “Phoenix”: IP/ISDN audio-codec <strong>AEQ</strong> PHOENIX STUDIO. For moreinformation please consult the <strong>AEQ</strong> website.Depending on the particular equipment selected, the following options may vary. For CA33module, the available configuration options are:• “Ring”: the key starts to blink when there is an incoming call. This function can becombined in the same key with any of the following three functions.• “Extended”: enables the option of frequency extender for the CA33 telephone hybrid.The key turns on when activated.• “Line”: selects which of the two CA33 lines that key is configured for.• “Wait”: allows you to put the call on hold (you can send audio to the telephone line, butthe audio from the line is not received in the console). The key turns on when activated.• “OnAir”: allows you to put the call on the air (you can send audio to the telephone lineand the audio from the line is received in the console). The key turns on when activated.• “OK”: allows you to accept the created or edited configuration.• “Cancel”: allows you to reject the created or edited configuration. No change you mayhave made is saved.IMPORTANT NOTE: “Extended”, “Wait” and “OnAir” functions are exclusive between them (aprogrammable key can have only one of the three options associated), although any of themcan be combined in the same key with “Ring” function.<strong>AEQ</strong> CAPITOLUltra-compact digital audio mixer79
