Mona Vătămanu & Florin Tudor Poem/ 30 December 1926 Poem documents the production of a banner "Long live and Thrive Capitalism!", a critical intervention related to the meaning of this new slogan and the former slogan "Long Live and Thrive Socialism!". We produced the banner together with art and architecture students at the University of Architecture in Bucharest considering the University not only a space for education and research but also for reflection: a free place where one can put the past, present and future up for discussion. We had been thinking and discussing about a quote from Walter Benjamin’s Moscow Diary, in which he describes his encounters with how revolution was defined or maintained in Russia at the time of his residence there in 1926/27. Benjamin concludes in his diary that revolution was experienced in those days more as a slogan than a real experience. (Mona Vătămanu & Florin Tudor) Poem/ 30 Decembrie 1926 "Poem" documentează producția unui banner "Trăiască și înflorească Capitalismul!", o intervenție critică legată de înțelesul acestui nou slogan și fostul slogan "Trăiască și înflorească Socialismul!". Am produs banner-ul împreună cu studenții de arhitectură ai Universității de Arhitectură București, considerând universitatea nu numai un spațiu de educație și cercetare, dar și pentru reflecție: un spațiu liber unde oricine poate discuta trecutul, prezentul și viitorul. Ne-am gândit și am discutat un citat din "Jurnalul moscovit" al lui Walter Benjamin, în care descrie contactul său cu modul în care revoluția a fost definită sau menținută în Rusia în momentul în care el locuia acolo în 1926- 1927. Benjamin concluzionează în jurnalul său că revoluția a fost trăită în acele zile mai mult ca un slogan decât ca o experiență reală.
