Invited Lectures<br />

1. A series of special lectures on important themes of Environment &<br />

Natural Resources were delivered by eminent speakers such as Prof.<br />

A.N. Purohit, former Vice-Chancellor, HNBGU, Dr.P.S. Roy,<br />

Director, IIRS, Dr. S.P.S Kushwaha, Scientist G, IIRS, Dr. Awdesh<br />

Gangwar, CEE, Lucknow, during orientation week organized in the<br />

first week of academic session in July, 2012.<br />

2. Dr. M.C. Porwal, Scientist F, IIRS, delivered a series of lectures on<br />

Remote Sensing & GIS in Natural Resource Mapping during<br />

September-December, 2012.<br />

3. Prof. S.P. Singh, Former VC, HNBGU, delivered a talk on scientific<br />

writing to the Faculty & research students of SENR.<br />

4. Dr. Prof. Peter Koles, Szent Istvan University, Hungary delivered a<br />

lecture on Environmental Technologies prospects.<br />

5. Prof. Mahesh Kumar Singh, Szent Istvan University, Hungary<br />

delivered a lecture on Sustainable Technological solutions for<br />

environmental Problems.<br />

6. Dr. P.K. Misra, Director, CSWCRT, delivered a talk on Soil and Water<br />

Conservation Practices in Uttarakhand Himalaya.<br />

Monitoring Mechanism: Ensured through IQAC<br />

Student Faculty Committees: Each batch of students in every<br />

course has representatives for SFC and all these SFC members<br />

regularly meet with faculty members to review the activities of<br />

the Department<br />

Faculty Advisories: Each student is assigned with an<br />

advisor/mentor who help them shaping their career as well as to<br />

solve the problems faced by the students.<br />

Monthly faculty meetings are organized besides this the School advisory<br />

meeting is held in the school every year for monitoring the outcomes.<br />
