9. National Conference on Environmental Constraints Conservation &<br />

Resource Development of Medicinal Plants for Health and Societal<br />

Benefits was organized on 21-23rd March, 2014. Eminent Speakers<br />

were Prof. PV Sane, Prof. A. K. Bhatnagar, Prof. A.N. Purohit, Prof SS<br />

Babbar, DR. S.K. Prabhuji, Dr. A. Arunachalam and Dr. G.P Rao.<br />

10. Two days National Conference on Developmental Imperatives: The<br />

role of Gender was organised during 22-23rd February, 2014. The<br />

main Speakers were Prof. Gita Bambezai, Prof. Indu Agnihotri, Prof.<br />

S.P Singh and Prof. V.K Jain.<br />

11. 3 rd ICSSR Northern Regional Social Science Congress was organized<br />

during 26-28 February, 2014. The main speakers were Prof. Dhruv<br />

Raina, Prof. T.S Papola, Prof Gurpreet Mahajan, Prof. Shiv<br />

Viswanathan, Prof B.K Joshi, Prof B.P Maithani and Prof. Shreekant<br />

Khandewale.<br />

12. International Conference on “Foreign Language Teaching and Inter-<br />

Cultural dialogue” was held on April 11-12, 2015. The main speaker<br />

were Prof. B.R.Deepak and Prof. Madhu Sahani, JNU and Prof. Soniya<br />

Gupta, Jamia Milia University.<br />

3.2 Resource Mobilization for Research<br />

3.2.1 What are the financial provisions made in the university budget<br />

for supporting students’ research projects?<br />

The financial assistance in the form of Rs 1500/- p.m has been provided to the<br />

Ph.D students in the University. In addition, partial financial assistance for<br />

field trip, chemicals and glassware, etc., is also being provided to the students.<br />

3.2.2 Has the university taken any special efforts to encourage its faculty<br />

to file for patents? If so, how many have been registered and accepted?<br />

Yes: The University has established an IPR Cell in the School of Environment<br />

& Natural Resources to create awareness and facilitate filing of patents. The<br />

School is also offering a course to M.Sc., M.Tech. and Ph.D students on IPR<br />

and Traditional Knowledge system.<br />
