Yes, As per the feedback from the students, the faculty members re-evaluate<br />

the teaching methodology, course content, use of teaching material and make<br />

required changes.<br />

NA (The Department is only 5 years old)<br />

workshops /seminar) involving external experts.<br />

The Department since its inception has on a regular basis invited experts from<br />

the field of German language teaching, German Culture, Literature,<br />

Translation, interpretation, Indo-German relations etc to deliver special<br />

lectures.<br />

45. List the teaching methods adopted by the faculty for different<br />

programmes.<br />

For courses in Bachelor Program the stress is on classroom teaching with<br />

student-centric approach. Technology like Multimedia labs, power point<br />

presentations, audio-visual aids is incorporated in the teaching.<br />

For courses in Masters Program stress is laid on both classroom teaching and<br />

self study. The students are encouraged to carry out individual study and<br />

research so as to develop their analytical ability.<br />

46. How does the department ensure that program objectives are<br />

constantly met and learning outcomes are monitored?<br />

Regular faculty meetings are conducted to discuss different courses and the<br />

development of the courses and the response of the students. The<br />

developments of the courses are discussed with advisory committee members<br />

and their expert advice is incorporated.<br />

Student Faculty Committee meets regularly where students and faculty discuss<br />

the academic activities of the Department. The Committee also discusses the<br />

courses and whether the objectives of the courses are achieved.<br />

47. Highlight the participation of students and faculty in extension<br />

activities.<br />
