Technology Centre Systems Program – <strong>Draft</strong> DPR for New TC at Rohtak<br />
would be as follows; MSME TC needs to earmark one expert (with support from TP if required)<br />
for the cluster for a period of 12 months with minimum 12 assured visits. The expert would<br />
mentor the MSME units individually towards improvement of their system and process to<br />
increase the productivity of the unit and quality of its product. These members may also enjoy<br />
preferential treatment in other services of the Tool Room e.g. designing and testing, CAD/ CAM<br />
etc. The club will facilitate for;<br />
Partnerships and collaborations:<br />
• Develop better partnerships with corporations located in the state and in the<br />
catchment.<br />
• Collaborations with academic and applied research institutes to commercialise new<br />
technology/ innovations.<br />
Facility Sharing: Sharing the Tool Room facility like high end design, analysis, intricate<br />
machining etc.<br />
New Market: Jointly exploring potential new markets/ programs and execution the<br />
same.<br />

Innovation: Promote emerging technological and knowledge-based innovative through<br />
seminars and clinics.<br />
► Partnering with small tool rooms and MSMEs to make them competitive: The objective of the<br />
same is to carry out activities with potential to develop competitive advantage over time. Rather<br />
than two or more Tool Rooms in the catchment producing similar kind of products, a group of<br />
Tool Rooms can specialise in selected jobs which would further improve the focus on factors<br />
such as quality, costs and time.<br />
Case Study – Consortium with MSMEs - CTTC Bhubaneswar<br />
In 2013, CTTC Bhubaneswar has formed a consortium with 15 MSMEs from different industries<br />
in Odisha.<br />
Objective<br />
To obtain jobs/ work orders from customers for the consortium. These jobs, once received will be<br />
executed by different members of the consortium according to their capabilities and capacity.<br />
The majority of the work will be performed by the consortium members. In the initial period,<br />
CTTC will support the MSMEs to undertake final machining and inspection for the products.<br />
Over the period, as MSMEs equip themselves and develop in-house capabilities to independently<br />
execute the jobs, CTTC’s support will reduce. Further, the number of MSMEs in the consortium is
