Technology Centre Systems Program – <strong>Draft</strong> DPR for New TC at Rohtak<br />
understand their needs and requirements and get OEMs/ buyers involved in the program. The<br />
CNM will strengthen market linkages of TC with the MSMEs in the cluster it serves, trade and<br />
industry associations, academia, educational institutions, applied research institutions, service<br />
providers, other government support institutions, workers and skill seekers. Existing research<br />
institutions which could be potential collaborators for specific technologies etc. The CNM would<br />
work towards the following key objectives:<br />

Increase of business opportunity for MSMEs through new market linkages.<br />
Increase competitiveness of supply chains of large firms by enhancing the quality,<br />
reliability and productivity of MSME suppliers.<br />
Increase the number of MSMEs utilizing the services of TCs resulting in increase in<br />
revenues of TCs<br />
Enhance competitiveness of the cluster business environment:<br />
• Increase access by MSMEs to a network of business development services (BDS)<br />
which address needs not in the domain of TC expertise<br />
• Increase access by MSMEs to network of financial service providers<br />
• Increase awareness of opportunities in the public sector to contribute to a more<br />
competitive business environment.<br />
Establish closer cooperation of key innovation stakeholders to enhance product and<br />
process innovation. This would include linking the research agendas of applied research<br />
and education institutes/organizations to industry and market requirements and<br />
promoting joint research and development projects.<br />
Facilitate closer cooperation amongst skills development and labour market<br />
stakeholders to increase the number of workers/ trainees from TCs finding long term<br />
employment to improve their livelihood.<br />
Establish a business model which ensures financial self-sustainability of the CNM as<br />
before the end of the TCSP funding window.<br />
All investment decisions (technological and other) and work prioritization in TCs must be<br />
intrinsically connected with the market place and efficiently translate market needs to products<br />
and services that (satisfy these needs), and will be enabled by technology and enriched by global<br />
knowledge and expertise of the various stakeholders including the CNM, empowered by global<br />
networks and people.<br />
