► Biological and radiological hazards: Biological agents represent potential for illness or injury<br />

due to single acute exposure or chronic repetitive exposure. Radiation exposure can lead to<br />

potential discomfort, injury or serious illness to workers. Appropriate strategies as per the<br />

guideline will be taken for Prevention and control of such hazards.<br />

► Personal protective equipment (PPE) to provide additional protection to workers exposed to<br />

workplace hazards in conjunction with other facility controls and safety systems.<br />

Monitoring<br />

Occupational health and safety monitoring programs would be undertaken to verify the effectiveness<br />

of prevention and control strategies. The selected indicators should be representative of the most<br />

significant occupational, health, and safety hazards, and the implementation of prevention and<br />

control strategies. The monitoring program would include;<br />

► Safety inspection, testing and calibration<br />

► Surveillance of the working environment<br />
