For, by the nature of the Diamond ftenc,

That Patience, and long-fufering is intended,
Which will not bee with Injuries offended;

Betwixt an Jnvile,znd a sledge of Steele.
None ever had a perfect Virtue, yet,
But, that mod tretiom^one, which God hath fct
On his right hand, in beaming- Majeftie,
Vpon the Ring of bleft ETERNIT IB.
And, this, is that impcnitrable Stone,
The Serpent could not leave imprcflion on,
(Nor figncof any Path-my)by temptations,
Or, by the pow'r of fly infinuations
Which wondrous MjHene was of thofe/w,
