This Emblem givcth Caufe to mention one,<br />

Which, unto me, doth feeme the gteater Crime,<br />

I finde, that petty things are fo negledh d<br />

(Well nigh of all) in Lofmgs and in Winnings,<br />

As if, what ere they thought to have effected,<br />

They ought not Small-Beginnings to difpifc •<br />

Nor, ftrive to runne, before they learne to crcepe.<br />

By many fingle Eares, together brought,<br />

The Hand is fill'd ;<br />

by Handfulls,vts way gaine<br />

A Sheaf with many Sheaves a Barne is fraught :<br />

Thus, oft, by Little, we doe much obrainc.<br />

Confidcr this ;<br />

And, though I wifli not thee<br />

To take, of Trifling-things, too great a care •<br />

Yet, know thus much (for truth) it befl will bee,<br />

Ifall things may be weighed as they arc<br />
