Forc'd onward, by the current of the Tide,<br />

Without the helpe of Anchor, Oare or Guide s<br />

And, faw the Motto there, which doth imply,<br />

Thar fliee commits her Rife ro Dejiime-<br />

Me hinkes , this Emblem fcts out their eftate,<br />

Who have afcribed ev'ry thing to Fate •<br />

And dreame. that howfoe're the bufinefje goe,<br />

Their Wirke, nor hinders, neither helpes thereto.<br />

The leaking ship, they value as the found<br />

lice that's ro hinging borne, (hall ne're bee drown'd$<br />

And, men to hjppinefle ordain'd (fay rhefe)<br />

May fet their Ship to float, as Fate (hall pleafe.<br />

This Fanctc, fpringing trom a mif-beleeving<br />

Of God's Decrees • and, many men deceiving,<br />

Withfhewes of Truth, both caufeth much offence<br />

Againft God's Mercies, and his frevideace^<br />

And brings to paflc, that fome to mine runne,<br />

P»y their neglcd of what they might have done.<br />

For, Meanes is ro bee us'd,(if wee defire,<br />

Whofe naturall cffc&s, if God deny,<br />

Vpon his Providence wee muft relye,<br />
