ALBANIA 13640 low modulation of Radio Tirana. Enjoyed Radio Tirana in
English today Sept 9. Yes, Drita I'm sorry to report that I tried to
listen at 2000 UT, but the modulation was so low that I tuned away; the
carrier was asstrong as it usually is, though, and there was no

Haven't seen this reported elsewhere, but for the past few days the 2000
R. Tirana English broadcast on 13640 kHz seems to have been replaced by
their domestic service in Albanian. Went to their website, but it's
Albanian-only and I couldn't find a link to their external service to
check for changes. Anyone have an email address for their English service?
Hope this broadcast isn't gone for good, since reception quality is
usually excellent here and it's a convenient time to listen (for me,

Glenn, Yes, during the last days we had some technical problems with radio
/ relay link between studio and transmitting station in Shijak.
So, instead the transmitter is fed with FM signal of Radio Tirana 1-st
program. Sorry for the trouble. All the best from lovely Tirana,
