prgr 1900 UT, news in English till 1915 UT, then talks in both Arabic &
Engl., ..., Arabic again, ..., news in Castilian 2230, ID in French "R.
Algerie International" prior to news in this language at 2235 UT; 32441.
QRM de POR local (10 kW; 38 58 49.16 N 08 57 25.38 W, i.e. at some 30 km
to the north of me). I was unable to find any internet data on this, and
don't remember having heard them [Tindouf] with such prgrs, v.g. newscasts
in foreign langs., but then if one has followed the recent news about
We.Sahara, maybe this makes sense as Tindouf is Algeria's outpost in the
east of the country, with the border just some 220 km away from the
Atlantic ... and, fankly, just between you and me, one of the good reasons
for backing Polisario (stn located at
27 33 13.47 N 08 05 56.29 W).

AUSTRALIA A traditional company in the studio of Radio Australia with
glasses (no Whiskey In the Jar with Thin Lizzy) and campaign sound "pook'
was at 1310 UT after ALS and nx 1305-1310 UT all with very poor signal on
9590 kHz, 9580 with ANO, 9560 with ETH 9561 kHz on Dec 31st.

AZERBAIJAN 9677.6 Heute war von *0559-0635* UTC auf 9677.6 kHz ein
starker Brumm mit S=9+10dB hoerbar. Hat das irgendwas mit "Aedaelaen Sesi
Radio" zu tun, oder war's einfach nur Zufall ?

BANGLADESH will shift its clock back by one hour from midnight of 31st
December 2009. It means 11.59 hrs Bangladesh time will become 10.59 Hrs on
31st December 2009. This will continue till 31st March 2010 when it will
shift forward by one hour again.
BBC Bangla had earlier shifted its time to match the changed Bangladesh
time and VOA Bengali service recently announced that it will shifts its
evening service by one hour from December 31st to match the Bangladesh
time. However, the VOA announcement was made before this announcement of
shifitng back of Bangladesh timings was announced on 25th December 2009.
