UAE 17680.023 One of the Al Dhabbaya shortwave transmitters is often
odd frequency, reported often on DWL and PRW broadcasts in past two years
or so. IRIN Radio in Somali, brokered by VTC/V-group via Dhabbaya site at
0830-0930 UT 250kW at 225degr. But azimuth result in a weak S=6-7 signal
here in Europe only.

It appears that BBC Persian has left the Hot Bird 6 satellite this
afternoon, 28th Dec 2009, around 3pm GMT, replaced by an info card
instructing viewers to turn to Telstar 12. The jamming has also thankfully
stopped (which was affecting all unfortunate channels on the transponder,
with R1 and Yes Italia also constantly suffering the same picture breakup
and sound drop-outs, rendering them unwatchable).
