S=9+50dB.<br />

QATAR Transradio installs 600 kW DRM compatible MW txer in Qatar.<br />

A 600 kW DRM compatible MW transmitter was installed on 15th March 2010 at<br />

Al-Arish, Qatar by the state broadcasting company. The overall project<br />

included the installation of two TRAM 300 AM transmitters, one Paralleling<br />

Unit (PU), two digital DRM Exciter DMOD2, and an antenna for medium wave<br />

frequency 675 kHz.<br />

Antenna design & construction was by Thomson Broadcast & Multimedia GmbH &<br />

was developed in collaboration between Thomson & Transradio. The<br />

transmissions will begin in the next few days. With this transmitter, an<br />

older station near the Qatari capital of Doha will be replaced.<br />

power MW masts too, as well as a lot of rusty SW antennas of 49/41, 31,<br />

19/25, 13/16 meterbands.<br />
