At the time of partition between India and Pakistan, known as Freedom at
Midnight, August 14 & 15, in the year 1947, there were just these two
rather small radio broadcasting stations on the air in the new Pakistan:-
VUL Lahore 5 kW 1086 kHz
VUP Peshawar 10 kW 629 kHz

Most probably R Pakistan in Bangla noted tentat. at 0935 UT on very odd
15620.18 kHz.

PHILIPPINES 7505 FEBC Manila as usual, + tentat VoTibet and CHN jammer
ahead, at 1500-1600 UT, terrible mixture.

PORTUGAL 15425 BBC London in French via Sines at 1200-1230 UT towards
Africa covered only Cello Pause music signal of VT-group control room in
London.
11700 Radio Prague in German via Sines relay at 1630-1656 UT, suuuuuper
S=9+50dB.

QATAR Transradio installs 600 kW DRM compatible MW txer in Qatar.
A 600 kW DRM compatible MW transmitter was installed on 15th March 2010 at
Al-Arish, Qatar by the state broadcasting company. The overall project
included the installation of two TRAM 300 AM transmitters, one Paralleling
Unit (PU), two digital DRM Exciter DMOD2, and an antenna for medium wave
frequency 675 kHz.
Antenna design & construction was by Thomson Broadcast & Multimedia GmbH &
was developed in collaboration between Thomson & Transradio. The
transmissions will begin in the next few days. With this transmitter, an
older station near the Qatari capital of Doha will be replaced.

QATAR Doha Al Keesha / Khaisah 675 kHz 100 kW, mast at
25 24 19.26 N 51 28 43.67 E
and also located around 999 kHz 50 kW, 1233 kHz 100 kW masts. Two low
power MW masts too, as well as a lot of rusty SW antennas of 49/41, 31,
19/25, 13/16 meterbands.
