MYANMAR Google Earth imagery. Some high resolution place.
New (Jan 2010) GE imagery over Yangoon - Yegu SW/MW site, somewhat clearer
over many past images.
New GE imagery is now available of the new Myanmar capital: Naypyidaw.
Has the DX community located the new speculated MW/SW site in
Naypyidaw[Nay Pyi] on GE? GE Imagery is dated March 2010.
(Ian Baxter-AUS, SW TXsite Aug 13)
I look at the MOST WANTED TX locations every week. Like IBB Kuwait, or RTA
new Harris 531 Ain Beida site, MRC Nador LW/SW reshuffeling, Laos km49 MW,
Son Tay-VTN shortwave site, NNN Nanning-CHN site etc.
I note n o t much difference against to images of past half year, at
Rangoon and BRM Taunggyi images, at least on the server here in Germany.
Rangoon has better image resolution at least the MW masts on 22 Nov 2005.
Few SW lower masts visible very well on 02 Febr 2006 image.
Baseplates seen on 8 Dec 2007.
83 meters respectively 90 meters distance, at 355 / 175 degrees,
like 49 and 60 mb dipols.
2 SW masts at 16 51 47.54 N 96 09 42.84 E
on the left side of the lower MW mast.
4 mast 60mb fountain like antenna, SW 5040 kHz Rangoon
at 16 51 53.09 N 96 09 49.91 E
{like Cuba 5025/5040 kHz type in Quivican-CUB.]
60 mb antenna visible 18 Dec 2006, and 8 Dec 2007 latest,
!!! but disappeared in favour of a tall (southern) MW mast
on 30 Jan 2010 image.
Suppose 5040 kHz masts moved to new Nay Pyi TX site in 2008 ... 2009y ?
4 masts with 3 SW dipol antennas at
62 meters wide distance at 355 / 175 degrees
like 41 mb
16 52 03.55 N 96 09 37.90 E
16 52 03.81 N 96 09 39.95 E
50 and 61 meters distance wide
000/180 and 005/185 degrees
like 31 and 41 mb
16 52 03.81 N 96 09 39.95 E
16 52 03.84 N 96 09 41.65 E
16 52 03.76 N 96 09 43.67 E
New antennas, of 30 Jan 2010
2mast and new feeder line
45 m distance wide, at 355 / 175 degrees
