Sueddeutscher Rundfunk closed some of its MW gap fillers and consolidated<br />

them on 711, amongst them Bad Mergentheim which has been shut down in<br />

1999, followed by Heidelberg in 2004.<br />

All these transmitters were necessary because the Muehlacker main<br />

transmitter on 576 operated co-channel with Woebbelin (until 1979 the even<br />

closer Wiederau instead). Here you can still read a page full of<br />

complaints about Woebbelin returning to the air in 1999, reportedly<br />

running again 250 kW with new Thomson solid-state transmitters:<br />

INDIA AIR Employees strike on 17 March 2010.<br />

On 17 March 2010 a mass casual leave with day long strikes at AIR Stations<br />

has been announced by unions of AIR. AIR has made contingency plans. Its<br />

worth monitoring AIR stations (for any interruptions) on that day.<br />

which was off air for many months is now noted back..<br />

Both the 250 kW SW transmitters of AIR Panaji carrying External Services<br />

were not heard for some months but one transmitter is noted back on the<br />

air with the following schedule now.<br />

15235 1115-1200 Thai (SoEaAsia)<br />

11775 1215-1330 Tibetan (Tibet), 1330-1430 Nepali (Nepal) etc.<br />

12025 1615-1730 Hindi, 1730-1830 Malayalam (WeAsia)<br />
