PIM Group-Range Configuration for VRF "default"
Note
NX-OS displays a warning about changing the default SSM configuration. NX-OS
supports SSM on 232.0.0.0/8 by default.
Finally, configuration of static RPF entries enables the network administrator to define
multicast routes through the network that do not follow the unicast routing table via PIM. In
Example 4-11, a static RPF entry is created on N7K-1-Core1 to send 10.1.0.2/32 traffic
through 4900,M-1 via 10.1.0.30. Using static RPF entries can be preferable in networks
where per usage fees are associated or where extremely high latency might be masked by the
unicast routing protocol, such as satellite networks.
