Maintenance Window #1
During the first maintenance window, the Nexus 7000s and 5500s are physically moved into
the data center, racked, and powered on. New linecards are installed in the existing 6500 to
provide 10G connectivity to the new environment. The following steps will be performed.
In Example 14-3, the physical interfaces between Bluejay and the Nexus 7000 aggregation
devices (Egypt and Italy) are placed into port-channels, which have point-to-point routed
subnets configured, and are placed in an administratively down state.
