By default, IGMP snooping is enabled. Network administrators should carefully<br />

examine any requirements to disable IGMP snooping <strong>and</strong> the detrimental performance<br />

that might be experienced.<br />

IGMP Configuration on Nexus 5000<br />

The Nexus 5000 is a Layer 2 switch <strong>and</strong> fully supports IGMP snooping. By default, IGMP<br />

snooping is enabled, so no direct configuration is required for this feature to work. Example<br />

4-15 reviews the IGMP snooping configuration for the network, as illustrated in Figure 4-7.<br />
