With the routing migration complete, Acme returns its focus to the L2 topology. Recall in<br />

previous steps that the vPC between Scotl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the Nexus aggregation was deferred while<br />

routing was being migrated. In the next phase of the migration, Acme enables the vPC<br />

between Scotl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the vPC domain. This results in Scotl<strong>and</strong> seeing a better path to the<br />

root bridge via the vPC <strong>and</strong> moves its port-channel to Denmark into a blocking state. While<br />

it remained down, the configuration for this was staged on both Nexus switches <strong>and</strong><br />

Scotl<strong>and</strong> in previous steps. Enabling the port-channel is the only step remaining, as shown in<br />

Example 14-42.<br />
