Hadhrat Asmaa BgWj reports that (her son) Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Zubayr<br />

@,w passed <strong>the</strong> nights in salaah and <strong>the</strong> days fasting. He was <strong>the</strong>refore called<br />

<strong>the</strong> pigeon <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Masjid (because he was always <strong>the</strong>re). (2)<br />

Hadhrat Adi bin Haatim %3G%i!i says, "When <strong>the</strong> time for any salaah arrives, I<br />

have already prepared for it and am brimming with fervour for it." (3)<br />

<strong>The</strong> Construction <strong>of</strong> Masaajid<br />

<strong>The</strong> Narration <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah BG+Qj'<br />

and Hadhrat Talq bin Ali BGm Concerning <strong>The</strong><br />

Construction <strong>of</strong> Masjidun Nabawi<br />

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah W,- reports, "Rasulullaah '&'@ was with us as we<br />

carried <strong>the</strong> bricks to <strong>the</strong> construction site <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Masjid (Nabawi. This incident<br />

took place after <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Khaybar when <strong>the</strong> Masjid was rebuilt). When I met<br />

Rasulullaah k%%% carrying a brick lengthways across his abdomen, I felt that this<br />

would be difficult for him. I <strong>the</strong>refore said, 'Give it to me, 0 Rasulullaah Sg!'<br />

Rasulullaah @@ said, 'Take ano<strong>the</strong>r, 0 Abu Hurayrah! <strong>The</strong>re is (true) no life<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r ihe life <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ~akhirah.'"(~)<br />

Hadhrat Talq bin Ali @Gm says, "When I assisted in <strong>the</strong> construction <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Masjid toge<strong>the</strong>r with Rasulullaah %, he said (to <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs), 'Let this Yamaami<br />

(Hadhrat Talq SGm) handle <strong>the</strong> mortar because he mixes it best and has <strong>the</strong><br />

strongest shoulders." (5)<br />

Hadhrat Talq bin Ali %w relates, "1 came to Rasulullaah @%@ at <strong>the</strong> time when<br />

his <strong>Sahabah</strong> BGWj were busy constructing <strong>the</strong> Masjid. It appeared to me that<br />

Rasulullaah &%% was not too pleased with <strong>the</strong> manner in which <strong>the</strong> work was<br />

being done, so I took a spade and started mixing <strong>the</strong> mortar. Rasulullaah !<br />

seemed to like <strong>the</strong> manner in which I handled <strong>the</strong> spade and <strong>the</strong> work,] was<br />

doing, so he said (to <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs), "Leave <strong>the</strong> Hanafi to <strong>the</strong> mortar because hk is<br />

most pr<strong>of</strong>icient with it."'(6)<br />

<strong>The</strong> Effort that <strong>the</strong> Wife <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Abdullaah bin<br />

Abu Awfa %%5Wj Put into <strong>the</strong> Construction <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Masjidun NAbawi<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abu Awfa ~,GWj narrates that when his wife passed<br />
