injured during <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Uhud, Rasulullaah @&% merely applied his saliva to it<br />

and it became <strong>the</strong> better <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Abu Dharr !3GW1s two eyes. ('I<br />

Hadhrat Rifaa'ah bin Raafi %GW reports, "During <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Badr, an arrow<br />

pierced my eye. Rasulullaah @@ applied some <strong>of</strong> his saliva to it and made du'aa,<br />

because <strong>of</strong> which I felt no pain or discomfort from it at all." (2)<br />

Hadhrat Habeeb bin Fuwayk narrates, "My fa<strong>the</strong>r was taken to Rasulullaah @@<br />

because his eyes had become completely white and he was unable to see<br />

anything. When Rasulullaah @@ asked him <strong>the</strong> reason for his blindness, he<br />

explained that he was taming a camel when his leg fell on a snake's egg, causing<br />

him to go blind. When Rasulullaah @& applied some saliva to <strong>the</strong> eye, my fa<strong>the</strong>r<br />

was able to see instantly. In fact, I saw him thread a needle at <strong>the</strong> age <strong>of</strong> eighty<br />

even though his eyes were still white." (3)<br />

Hadhrat Zinneera Wl3@&Z's Eyesight is Restored<br />

Hadhrat Sa'eed bin lbraheem narrates that Hadhrat Zinneera BUM was a<br />

Roman lady who accepted Islaam. When she became blind, <strong>the</strong> Mushrikeen told<br />

her that it was (<strong>the</strong>ir idols) Laat and Uzza who made her blind. When she<br />

vehemently told <strong>the</strong>m that she refused to believe in Laat and Uzza, Allaah<br />

restored her vision. (4)<br />

Hadhrat Anas %GW reports from Hadhrat Ummu Haani bint Abu Taalib kW%%<br />

that after Hadhrat Abu Bakr ~ %Gj bought Hadhrat Zinneera G9Gm's freedom,<br />

she became blind. To this, members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Quraysh remarked, "It is none o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

than Laat and Uzza who have taken away her eyesight." She however said, "<strong>The</strong>y<br />

lie! I swear by <strong>the</strong> house <strong>of</strong> Allaah that Laat and Uzza can are <strong>of</strong> no good and<br />

can do no benefit." Allaah <strong>the</strong>n restored her eyesight. (5)<br />

Buildings <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Enemy are Shaken by <strong>the</strong><br />

Recitation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Kalirnah and Takbeer<br />

<strong>The</strong> Palace <strong>of</strong> Heraclius <strong>of</strong> Rome was Shaken<br />

Hadhrat Hishaam bin Aas Umawi %3% reports, "Ano<strong>the</strong>r person and I were<br />

sent (by <strong>the</strong> Khalifah Hadhrat Abu Bakr &@!3@!G3) to invite Heraclius <strong>the</strong> Emperor<br />

<strong>of</strong> Rome to Islaam. We left and when we reached <strong>the</strong> Ghowta district <strong>of</strong><br />

Damascus, we went to see Jabalah bin Ayham Ghassaani (who ruled <strong>the</strong> area). He<br />

was sitting on his throne and sent his messenger to speak to us. We however<br />

said, 'By Allaah! We will never speak to a messenger because we were sent to<br />

speak directly to <strong>the</strong> ruler. If he permits, we will speak to him, but never to a<br />

messenger. When <strong>the</strong> messenger reported this to him, he allowed us in and<br />
