When Rasulullaah @$% struck it, a spark flashed and a third <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> boulder<br />

crumbled as Hadhrat Salmaan Faarsi %%= watched. When Rasulullaah @?%<br />

struck it a second time, he again recited <strong>the</strong> verse:<br />

<strong>The</strong> words <strong>of</strong> your Rabb have been completed (perfected) in truth and<br />

justice. <strong>The</strong>re is none to alter His words and He is <strong>the</strong> All Hearing, <strong>the</strong><br />

All Knowing. {Surah An'aam, verse 115)<br />

Again a spark flashed and ano<strong>the</strong>r third <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> boulder crumbled. Hadhrat<br />

Salmaan B,w witnessed this as well. Rasulullaah @I% <strong>the</strong>n struck it a third<br />

time as he recited:<br />

<strong>The</strong> words <strong>of</strong> your Rabb have been completed (perfected) in truth and<br />

justice. <strong>The</strong>re is none to alter His words and He is <strong>the</strong> All Hearing, <strong>the</strong><br />

All Knowing. {Surah An'aam, verse 1151<br />

This time, <strong>the</strong> last third <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> boulder crumbled. Rasulullaah @%$ <strong>the</strong>n got out<br />

from <strong>the</strong> trench, tooE his shawl and sat down. "0 Rasulullaah m!" Hadhrat<br />

Salmaan B,W5 said, "I was watching as you struck <strong>the</strong> boulder and noticed that<br />

every time you struck it, a brilliant spark flashed." "0 Sulaymaan!" Rasulullaah<br />

@% said, "Did you also see that?" "I swear by <strong>the</strong> Being Who has sent you with<br />

<strong>the</strong> truth that I definitely did," ~adhrat Salmaan WWS replied.<br />

Rasulullaah &%% <strong>the</strong>n explained, "When I struck it <strong>the</strong> first time, <strong>the</strong> cities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Persian Emperor, <strong>the</strong>ir surroundings and numcrous o<strong>the</strong>r cities were shown to<br />

me so vividly that I could see <strong>the</strong>ir every detail."~he <strong>Sahabah</strong> @Cw who were<br />

present <strong>the</strong>re said, "0 Rasulullaah @a%%! Pray to Allaah that He allows us to<br />

conquer those places, to have <strong>the</strong>ir progeny as our booty and to raze <strong>the</strong> place<br />

down with our hands." Rasulullaah @% made <strong>the</strong> du'aa and <strong>the</strong>n continued,<br />

"When I struck it <strong>the</strong> second time, <strong>the</strong> cities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Roman Emperor and <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

surroundings were shown to me so vividly that I could see <strong>the</strong>ir every detail." "0<br />

Rasulullaah m!" <strong>the</strong> <strong>Sahabah</strong> BWS asked, "Pray to Allaah that He allows us<br />

to conquer those places, to have <strong>the</strong>ir progeny as our booty and to raze <strong>the</strong> place<br />

down with our hands." Rasulullaah @$% again complied.<br />

<strong>The</strong>reafter, Rasulullaah @@ continued, "When I struck it <strong>the</strong> third time, <strong>the</strong><br />

cities <strong>of</strong> Abyssinia and <strong>the</strong> cities in <strong>the</strong>ir surroundings were shown to me so<br />

vividly that I couldsee <strong>the</strong>ir every detail. You should however leave <strong>the</strong> Abyssinians<br />

alone as long as <strong>the</strong>y leave you alone and also leave <strong>the</strong> Turks alone as long as<br />

<strong>the</strong>y leave you alone."<br />

concluding portion which states: 'You should however leave <strong>the</strong> Abyssinians alone as long as <strong>the</strong>y<br />
