Hadhrat Humayd bin Hilaal narrates, "Rasulullaah @@ had an unratified pact<br />

with <strong>the</strong> Banu Qurayzah tribe. <strong>The</strong>y however broke <strong>the</strong> pact by assisting <strong>the</strong><br />

Mushrikeen when <strong>the</strong>y marched to Madinah with an assortment <strong>of</strong> armies from<br />

various tribes. Allaah however dispatched an army (<strong>of</strong> angels) and <strong>the</strong> wind,<br />

causing <strong>the</strong> Mushrikeen to flee, but leaving <strong>the</strong> Banu Qurayzah holed up in <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

fortress ..." <strong>The</strong> narration <strong>the</strong>n continues to recount <strong>the</strong> battle against <strong>the</strong> Banu<br />

Qurayzah. ('I<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas BG= narrates that <strong>the</strong> easterly wind approached<br />

<strong>the</strong> flor<strong>the</strong>rly wind during <strong>the</strong> night <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Ahzaab and said, "Go and<br />

assist Rasulullaah m." <strong>The</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rly wind however said, "An honourable lady<br />

doeSn't travel by night." It was <strong>the</strong>refore with <strong>the</strong> easterly wind that Rasulullaah<br />

@I!% was assisted. (2)<br />

Enemies are Sunken into <strong>the</strong> Ground and<br />

Hadhrat Buraydah reports that a man (from <strong>the</strong> Mushrikeen) said during<br />

<strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Uhud, "0 Allaah! If Muhammad is upon <strong>the</strong> truth, let me sink into<br />

<strong>the</strong> ground." He <strong>the</strong>n sank into <strong>the</strong> ground. (3)<br />

Hadhrat Naafi bin Aasim says that <strong>the</strong> man who injured Rasulullaah %@Is face<br />

was Abdullaah bin Qami'ah who belonged to <strong>the</strong> Hudhayl tribe. Allaah made a<br />

ram attack him and gore him with its horns until it killed him. (4)<br />

Enemies Lose <strong>the</strong>ir Sight by <strong>the</strong> Curses <strong>of</strong><br />

Rasulullaah @@ and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Sahabah</strong> 'BbGwj<br />

Some Young Men from <strong>the</strong> Quraysh Lose <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

eyesight by <strong>the</strong> Curse <strong>of</strong> Rasulullaah @@ on <strong>the</strong><br />

day <strong>of</strong> Hudaybiyyah<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Mughaffal Muzani 9m narrates, "We were with<br />

Rasulullaah @% at Hudaybiyyah ..." He <strong>the</strong>n proceeds to recount <strong>the</strong> incident <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Treaty <strong>of</strong> Hudaybiyyah. Amongst o<strong>the</strong>r things, he mentions, 'While we were<br />

still <strong>the</strong>re, thirty armed young men came to fight us. By <strong>the</strong> curse <strong>of</strong><br />

Rasulullaah &%%, Allaah made <strong>the</strong>m all blind in an instant and we stood up<br />

and disarmed <strong>the</strong>m. When Rasulullaah asked <strong>the</strong>m whe<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong>y had come<br />

after entering into some pact or whe<strong>the</strong>r anyone had granted <strong>the</strong>m amnesty, <strong>the</strong><br />

replied in <strong>the</strong> negative. Rasulullaah @?@ <strong>the</strong>n set <strong>the</strong>m free. It was <strong>the</strong>n that<br />

Allaah revealed <strong>the</strong> verse:<br />

and Ibn Jareer have reported a similar narration, as quoted in <strong>the</strong> Takeer <strong>of</strong> Ibn Ka<strong>the</strong>er (Vo1.3<br />

Pg.470).<br />
