<strong>the</strong>m, 'Welcome! Welcome! Come closer!'''(')<br />

Whenever <strong>the</strong> young students came to Hadhrat Abu Sa'eed Khudri -, he<br />

would say, "Welcome to <strong>the</strong> people about whom Rasulullaah @@ gave us<br />

emphatic instructions! Rasulullaah @@ gave us instructions to accommodate<br />

<strong>the</strong>m in our ga<strong>the</strong>rings and to make <strong>the</strong>m understand <strong>the</strong> Ahadeeth because you<br />

people are our successors and are <strong>the</strong> ones who will narrate Ahadeeth after us."<br />

Amongst <strong>the</strong> things Hadhrat Abu Sa'eed Khudri WZWkk used to say to <strong>the</strong> new<br />

students was,, "If <strong>the</strong>re is anything you do not understand, do ask me to explain it<br />

to you because I prefer you leaving here after understanding ra<strong>the</strong>r than leaving<br />

without understanding." (2)<br />

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah S I Welcomes ~ ~ Students ~<br />

Hadhrat Ismaa'eel reports that so many <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m once went to visit Hadhrat Hasan<br />

that <strong>the</strong>y filled his house. Pulling his legs toge<strong>the</strong>r, he said, "So many <strong>of</strong> us once<br />

went to visit Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah that we filled his house. Pulling his<br />

legs toge<strong>the</strong>r, he said, 'So many <strong>of</strong> us once went to visit Rasulullaah that we<br />

filled his house. Rasulullaah @@ was lying down on his side, but when he saw<br />

us, he pulled, his legs toge<strong>the</strong>r and said, 'After my demise, people <strong>of</strong> various<br />

nationalities shall soon come to you in search <strong>of</strong> knowledge. You should<br />

welcome <strong>the</strong>m, greet <strong>the</strong>m and teach <strong>the</strong>m.' By Allaah! We have also met such<br />

people (after <strong>the</strong> <strong>Sahabah</strong> i4BW%) who hei<strong>the</strong>r welcomed us, greeted us nor<br />

taught us anything. All <strong>the</strong>y did when we went to <strong>the</strong>m was to act harshly with<br />

us," (3)<br />

Hadhrat Abu Dardaa @~~~ Smiles when<br />

~arrat'in~ Ahadeeth<br />

Hadhrat Ummu Dardaa EBW23 says, "Whenever Hadhrat Abu Dardaa -<br />

narrated<br />

Ahadeeth tlo people, he would always smile. 1 once said to him, 'I fear that people<br />

would regard you to be a fool.' He explained, 'Rasulullaah @%$ also smiled<br />

whenever he narrated ~hadeeth.'"(~)<br />
