ผังพื้นชั้นที่ 1 ของโครงการ
The grandiose arch on the bottom floor leads up
to the vast atrium that unites all of the building’s
interior spaces. The skylight is built as a grille that
can be opened to let natural wind and light into
the internal environment while also permitting stack
ventilation that helps ventilate heat. Following the
architectural concept, the large atrium exists as
another significant aspect of the structure while
contributing to the semi-outdoor environment of
the hallway leading to the rooms. Similarly, the
curving fins of the terraces appear as a collective
element, adding a wave-like feature to the building’s
exterior. The rooms inside the hotel take advantage
of the different angles and curves as well as
the varying effects of natural light and shadow
that they create for each unit. With the goal of
creating a sustainable architecture that would
be a part of the city for at least another hundred
years, the architects paid special attention to the
building’s ability to adapt to changes, particularly
the different purposes of the rooms. The huge
terraces on the hotel rooms set the project apart
from typical city hotels, where such a feature is
normally absent. The shaft is also purposefully
constructed to be larger than normal in order to
support the operations of an apartment complex if
the building should face any future changes. Apart
from the gateway arch on the ground floor, the
general structural attributes favor the use of the
slab-on-ground precast concrete technique rather
than the commonly used precast wall system due
to the prevention of any structural issues that may
occur in the future.
