Finally, the massive roof structure was designed
with the protruding end being thinner, resulting in
a well-balanced structure. Paisan described the
structure’s bendability, openings that are not at
risk of collapsing, and cantilevered sections, which
do not require an entire structural support, as
elements that are truly determined by the nature
of forces. Each form that was generated was the
result of the engineering force that each part of
the structure necessitated.
What distinguishes Yellow Mini is its structural
distinction and expression of engineering necessity.
The architect chose to present the concrete
elements in an unapologetic and straightforward
manner, with an approach that presents construction
techniques as the building’s aesthetic merits.
Despite being designed by the same architecture
firm, Yellow Mini and Yellow House are distinct in
multiple respects.
