4.2. Effects of Process Parameters on Surface Roughness<br />

All the process parameters have significant effects on surface roughness. Surface<br />

roughness (Ra) decreases as sp<strong>in</strong>dle speed <strong>in</strong>creases, as shown <strong>in</strong> Figure 13(a). Ra decreases<br />

as vibration power <strong>in</strong>creases, as shown <strong>in</strong> Figure 13(b). Ra <strong>in</strong>creases as feedrate <strong>in</strong>creases, as<br />

shown <strong>in</strong> Figure 13(c). Ra decreases as grit size decreases, as shown <strong>in</strong> Figure 13(d).<br />
