Resumen
En el presente trabajo se analizarán las claves que rodean a la organización
mediática Wikileaks como vector de una nueva tendencia periodística que encuentra su
razón de ser en el medio cibernético. Se prestará una especial atención a las
consecuencias éticas que pudieran verse desatadas a partir de un fenómeno que rompe
con la jerarquía de los medios de comunicación tradicionales y establece una
estructura horizontal en la difusión de la información. Por último, se reflexionará
acerca de la idoneidad del ‘hacktivismo’ como complemento o sustitutivo de los
clásicos patrones de la profesión periodística.
Abstract
I
n this paper we analyze the keys surrounding the media organization Wikileaks as a
vector of a new trend in journalism that finds its raison d'être in the middle of
cyberspace. It will pay particular attention to the ethical implications that could be
unleashed from a phenomenon that breaks the hierarchy of traditional media and
establishes a horizontal structure in the dissemination of information. Finally, we
reflect on the suitability of 'hacktivism' as a complement or substitute for the classic
patterns of the journalistic profession.
