faixa etária variam de 2 a 6 mg/dia por via oral.
Entretanto, no tratamento de quadros de agressividade
em idosos, foi utilizado em doses orais
de 5 a 20 mg à noite. 8
LABORATÓRIO
Lembrar que essa droga pode causar aumento
transitório de enzimas hepáticas. Postula-se que
apresente relação linear dose-efeito; todavia, não
se recomenda dosagem de níveis séricos.
PRECAUÇÕES
1. Em epilépticos, deve-se monitorar a droga,
pois diminui o limiar convulsivante.
2. Suspender a dose em caso de hipertermia ou
suspeita de síndrome neuroléptica.
3. As formas de acetato e decanoato podem
ser administradas conjuntamente, inclusive
na mesma seringa se o veículo de ambas for
oleoso. Os volumes que excederem 4 mL devem
ser distribuídos entre 2 locais de injeção.
4. Pode modificar a resposta da insulina à glicose,
havendo necessidade de ajuste terapêutico
em pacientes diabéticos.
