Distribution: The species is distributed all over Europe.

Ecology: In Europe the species is associated with conifers. The Moroccan
specimens were captured on Pinus sp. and Pistacia atlantica.

Distribution: The species has been reported in most parts of Europe, as
far north as Scandinavia, but has not previously been reported from Africa.

The species is a very pale one. The thorax, head, antennae and legs are
yellow, the mesothorax and the metathorax with a brown spot on each side.
The wings are whitish hyaline, very sparsely covered with wax. The male
genitalia were figured by KIMMINS, the female genitalia (fig. 8), however, have
been hitherto underscribed. The abdomen is wholly yellow, sparsely covered
with whitish wax. The lateral gonapophyses (gl) are sclerotized and brown, in
lateral view ovate, not densely aggregated. They are furnished with long stiff
hairs. The eighth tergite is rather narrow and the sternite is almost square.
