leg. Meinander. Holotype no. 6586 (Tantan) in the Zoological Museum<br />
of Helsingfors.<br />
Coniopteryx atlasensis n. sp. (figs. 21—25)<br />
A very small pale species with hyaline wings. The species is sparcely covered<br />
with white wax. Length of body 0.8—0.9 mm.<br />
The head (fig. 23) is yellowish brown. The eyes are black; the ocular diaphragm<br />
is broadly blackish around the foramen. The vertex is raised and the<br />
genae broad. The palpi are pale brown and of ordinary shape and size. The<br />
antennae are 25-segmented, in the proximal portion ochreous brown, in the<br />
distal portion dark brown. The scape is stout and bent inwards, the pedicel is<br />
long and slender and all but the first three segments of the flagellum are longer<br />
than board. The mandibles are brown.<br />
The thorax is yellpwish; the meso- and metathorax have a large blackishbrown<br />
spot on each side. The legs are greyish brown.<br />
The wings are rather short and broad with rounded apices. The membranes<br />
of both wings are greyish. The veins are brown and the venation is of the usual<br />
