Partenkirchen. Which is why there has been a true Bavarian partnership
between the car maker and the holiday destination since the
winter season of 2010/11 which is a true advantage for guests and
locals alike.
In winter you’ll hear these famous words on the pistes of Garmisch
Classic: ‘Ready, set, go!’ Because here, on the BMW Skimovie piste,
right next to the Hexenkesselbahn, hobby drivers can experience
true world cup feeling: Simply drive up to the BMW xDrive Cup
Skimovie Starting house, register with your ski pass and wait for
the signal. The run is filmed with professional timing gear and will
then be made available for downloading on www.bmw-mountains.
com. What’s also included is the participation in the BMW xDrive
Cup where participants can win great prizes – even a BMW X1.
At home in Barvaria
Already because of its location in Munich’s local mountains,
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a special cooperation partner for BMW
– in winter and summer. Ever since 2002, the BMW Motorrad
Days have been taking place here, as an event partner at the ‘Alpentestival’
and the ‘Gamsrenna’ the white and blue coalition is obvious.
This also goes for cultural sponsoring at the Richard-Strauss
Festival and the promotion of youth at the Ski-Club Garmisch and
Skiclub Partenkirchen, the skiing school Garmisch-Partenkirchen
and the ‘Haus der Athleten’ (House of athletes).
