weitere Maßnahme bietet die Bayerische Zugspitzbahn
Bergbahn AG in Kooperation mit dem Verband Deutscher
Berg- und Skiführer spezielle Freeridekurse an,
buchbar über www.zugspitze.de. Dabei lernen Interessierte,
die Gefahren im hochalpinen Gelände richtig
einzuschätzen und verantwortungsbewusst zu handeln.
Im vergangenen Winter wurden sogar vier kostenlose
Kurse für Jugendliche von 16 bis 21 Jahren durchgeführt.
Und alle waren sich einig: Mit dem erlangten
Wissen lässt sich das Freeriden auf der Zugspitze umso
mehr genießen!

Time and again freeriders have accidents that could
easily have been avoided with the right dose of responsibility
and controlled risk management. Because of that
the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG (Bavarian
Mountain Railway Zugspitzbahn Inc.) has increasingly
been trying to preventively sensitize deep snow
fans to make sure that responsibility rides with them
when they’re off the marked and organized slopes. Since
the winter season 2012/13 there have been two freeride
checkpoints where winter sports fans can get the most
important information on freeriding. The announcements
by the rack railway and the glacier railway offer
tips on the right gear, information on avalanches and
an automatic avalanche transceiver checkpoint. An
