Anwendungsgebiet
Standardharz für Boote, Behälter, Kfz-Bauteile, Verkleidungen,
Wasserbassins (Teiche) und Formenbau.
U 569 ist für die Verarbeitung im Handauflege- und Faserspritzverfahren
gut geeignet. Es tränkt Verstärkungsmaterialien
leicht und läuft aus geneigten Laminaten nicht ab.
Ein besonderes Kennzeichen ist die geringe Styrolverdunstung
und die dadurch verringerte Styrolbelastung am Arbeitsplatz.
Die Bezeichnung U 569 TV-01V bedeuted:
U = umweltfreundlich, T = thixotrop, V = vorbeschleunigt
Mit Palatal U 569 TV-01V lassen sich sowohl dünne wie auch
dickwandige Laminate problemlos herstellen. Es ist universell anwendbar
und wird vor allem dort eingesetzt, wo neben einer hohen
Zähigkeit eine sehr gute Wärmeformbeständigkeit gefordert ist. Als
Formstoff entspricht es dem Typ 1140 gemäß DIN 16946/2 und wird
nach DIN 18820/1 der Gruppe 1 zugeordnet. Für die Anwendung im
Bootsbau liegt die Zulassung von Det Norske Veritas und Lloyd´s
Register of Shipping vor.

Palatal U 569 TV-01 V wird mit MEKP-Härter verarbeitet. Die Aushärtung an
der Luftseite ist wegen des Hautbildners klebfrei. Der Vorteil liegt darin,
daß im Prinzip keine Abschlußschicht mit einem klebfrei härtenden
Polyesterharz (UP-Vorgelat) erforderlich ist. Dies ist z.B. ideal beim Bau von
Feuchtbiotopen (Gartenteiche, Schwimmteiche).
Sofern die Oberfläche des Basislaminats nicht zu harzreich ist, kann die
Überlaminierbarkeit innerhalb von 24 h als gut bezeichnet werden. Bei
harzreichen Oberflächen, Überlaminierung nach längeren Verweilzeiten, bei
Heißhärtung oder bereits erfolgter Nachhärtung der Laminate ist die Oberfläche
vor Aufbringung des Folgelaminates anzuschleifen.

Polyester-Laminierharz U 569 TV-01V im Bootsbau
Standard resin for boats, vessels, automobile parts, panelling,
water tanks (ponds), and mould construction.
U 569 is ideal for processing in hand and spray lay-up operations.
It easily impregnates reinforcing materials and doesn’t run off
inclined laminates.
One particular characteristic is the low volatilisation of styrene
and the resulting minimisation of styrene pollution at the
workplace.
The designation U 569 TV-01V contains the following abbreviations:
U for “environmentally acceptable”, T for “thixotropic”, V for
“preaccelerated”.
With Palatal U 569 TV-01V, both thin- and thick-walled laminates
can be manufactured without problems. It is universally applicable
and is used above all where not only a high viscosity, but also a
superior heat distortion temperature is required. As a moulded
material it corresponds to the type 1140 as described under DIN
16 946/2 and is assigned to Group 1 of DIN 18 820/1. Its application
in boat building has been approved by Det Norske Veritas and
Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.
Palatal U 569 TV-01V is processed with MEKP hardener. Owing to the antiskinning
agent, the air side after curing is tack-free. This has the advantage
that in principle no finishing coat need be applied in the form of a polyester
resin that cures tack-free (UP pre-gel). This is, for example, ideal in the
construction of humid biotopes (garden ponds, swimming pools).
Provided that the surface of the base laminate does not have too high a resin
content, its suitability for the application of further laminates can be described
as good within twenty-four hours. When surfaces have a high resin content,
further laminates are applied after longer residence times, the parts are
annealed, or the laminate has been post-cured, the surface must be ground
before the next laminate is applied.
