Even with all the restructuring efforts, the company never
lost its focus on the topic of further training for employees.
By the month of September, the Vetter Campus had been built
up as the company’s own internal training center. In the fall of
2003, the training center on the first floor of RVV, which had its
own rooms for meetings and training courses, opened its doors.
Qualifying employees was already an important aspect of the
corporate philosophy during the days of Helmut Vetter – the
Vetter Campus gave this idea a modern foundation. The facility
offers employees the opportunity to participate in training and
qualification courses and is a major cornerstone in the development
of human resources and the organization.
Another capital component of the new corporate structure
was the establishment of Vetter Development Services (VDS),
which began work in early 2003 and was scheduled to move
into the vacated space of the former administrative building
(RVB) on Schützenstrasse. The company concentrated its broad
development know-how in packaging and production processes
in the newly created business division. With VDS, Vetter
brought together its services in the early phases of development,
pre-clinical and clinical development, market introduction and
even transfer to commercial manufacturing of its customers’
drugs. At the same time, management of production at the Langenargen
and Ravensburg sites were consolidated in the Vetter
Commercial Manufacturing (VCM) division.
