2.3 Field and laboratory examination procedures<br />

2.3.1 Field procedure<br />

During the survey of infrastructure elements aimed at specifying the number and location of the<br />

most environmentally hazardous equipment, the territory visual observation was made, the<br />

presence, number and location (by determining the geographical coordinates) of permanent and<br />

temporary structures, abandoned equipment and devices, other objects is recorded, their designation<br />

and type were determined, if possible, pollution of the territory with small and large industrial and<br />

domestic waste was described.<br />

When industrial, construction and domestic waste dumps and accumulations of metal scrap and the<br />

areas of visible mechanical pollution (degree of pollution) were revealed, their location (distance<br />

and azimuth) in relation to nearest buildings and structures was specified, latitudinal and<br />

longitudinal orientation (north-south; east-west) and their boundaries were determined and a typical<br />

size of contaminated area was measured.<br />

When cisterns, stacks and drums, condensers and transformers accumulations and other similar<br />

equipment are revealed, the presence of oil products, technical liquids, leaks and damages in them is<br />

identified in addition to the presence of labels and location.<br />

Positioning (determination of the coordinates) of all kinds of technological infrastructure elements,<br />

determination of the boundaries of industrial, construction and domestic waste dumps,<br />
