ABERLEMHO AND OATHLAW.<br />
TANNADICE is a parrish S miles from Brechin and<br />
5i from Forfar, and is situated almost i)^ <strong>the</strong> centra<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> county. The South Esk river passes along <strong>the</strong><br />
western border, and <strong>the</strong> river Noran along <strong>the</strong> eastern<br />
border. It contains an Established and a Free<br />
Church, and a Board School.<br />
ABERLEMNO is a parish situated about 12 miles<br />
from <strong>the</strong> sea coast, is 7 miles W. from Brechin and<br />
6 E. from Forfav. Excellent stone is obtained from<br />
<strong>the</strong> quarries worked in Aberlemno and vicinity. In<br />
<strong>the</strong> parish are an Estabhslied and a Free Church, and<br />
a Board School.<br />
OATHLAW, or FINHAVEN, is a parish situated<br />
on <strong>the</strong> south bank <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> South Esk, bounded by<br />
Kirriemuir, Rescobie, Aberlemno, and Tnnnadice, and<br />
is 4 miles north from Forfaj. About Ih miles from<br />
<strong>the</strong> church are <strong>the</strong> ruins <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> castle <strong>of</strong> Finhavea.<br />
There is a Board School at Oathlaw. There are also<br />
stone quarries in <strong>the</strong> parish.<br />
