Church. There are many very fine board schools in<br />

<strong>the</strong> town and parish. Small debt and police courts<br />

are held occasionally.<br />

POET GORDON is a village about two miles from<br />

Buckie, and has a good harbom-, provided by <strong>the</strong><br />

Duke <strong>of</strong> Eichmond and Gordon in 1874, who is owner<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> village. There are here 60 large boats for<br />

herring fishing and six for white fishing, also fish<br />

curing establishments.<br />

GOLLACHIE, <strong>the</strong> property <strong>of</strong> Gordon <strong>of</strong> Cluny,<br />

and Port Tannacliie, belonging to A. Steuart, Esq., <strong>of</strong><br />

Auchlunkart, forms pai't <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> village <strong>of</strong> Port<br />

Gordon.<br />

POETESSIE is a fishing village, about a mile east<br />

from Buckie. Here are about 100 fishing boats.<br />
