The places <strong>of</strong> worship include Established, Free, and<br />
Episcopal Churches, and <strong>the</strong>re are several pubhc<br />
schools in various districts in <strong>the</strong> parish. The railway<br />
company before -mentioned have also a station<br />
at Eothie Norman, thi'ee miles south from Fyvie<br />
Station.<br />
METHLICK is a parish situated about 22 miles from<br />
Aberdeen (its post town), 71 from Ellon and Old<br />
Meldi'um, and 5 from Arnage, a country station on<br />
<strong>the</strong> Great <strong>North</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Scotland</strong> Railway. The village<br />
is situated on <strong>the</strong> banks <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Eiver Ythan, and<br />
enjoys a considerable trade with <strong>the</strong> surrounding<br />
agricultural population. Haddo House, <strong>the</strong> seat <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Earl <strong>of</strong> Aberdeen, is in <strong>the</strong> parish.<br />

Letters arrive from <strong>the</strong> north at half-past seven<br />
morning, and are despatched <strong>the</strong>reto at quarter-past<br />
eight morning. From Aberdeen and <strong>the</strong> south<br />
arrive at ten minutes past nine morning, and one<br />
noon, and are! despatched at liaK-past six morning<br />
