ABERCHIRDER,<br />

COENHILL, FOEaLEN, INVEEKEITHl^nr, MAENOCH, OEDIQTJHILL, AND EOTHIEMAT.<br />

ABEECHIEDEE is a large village in <strong>the</strong> parish <strong>of</strong><br />

Marnoch, 9 roiles south-west <strong>of</strong> Banff and 5^ from<br />

Cornhill station on <strong>the</strong> Banff and Grange line. It<br />

comprises a square and several streets. Pairs are<br />

held 9th January^ 21st May, day after Wartle, day<br />

before Turriff, 7th August, day before Huntly in<br />

September, Monday before 22nd, or 22nd if Monday,<br />

in November.<br />

OEDIQUHILL is a parish nine miles south-west <strong>of</strong><br />

Banff and seven from Portsoy ; it contains <strong>the</strong> village<br />

<strong>of</strong> Cornhill and railway station.<br />

COENHILL is a small village in Ordiquhill parish,<br />

five miles from Aberchirder.<br />

EOEGLEN is a small parish situate on <strong>the</strong> Deveron,<br />

7i miles south <strong>of</strong> Banff and 4 from Aberchirder. There<br />

is a Church <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Establishment and a Free Church.<br />

EOTHIEMAY is a parish 6 miles north north-east<br />

<strong>of</strong> Huntly and 7 east <strong>of</strong> Keith, on <strong>the</strong> rivers Deveron<br />

and Isla, and is a railway station. There is a Church<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Establishment, a Free Church, and board<br />

schools. A fair is held on <strong>the</strong> third Wednesday in<br />

May.<br />

INVEEKEITHNY is a parish situate about six<br />

miles from Aberchirder.<br />

postmaster.—Letters from all parts arrive (from Banff)<br />

at 1.50 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., and are despatched <strong>the</strong>reto<br />

at 4.30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Letters from Huntly arrive<br />

at 5.25 p.m., and are despatched at 4.35 a.m. Money<br />

Order, Telegraph Office and Savings' Bank.<br />

Post Office, Forglen, Alexander Scott, postmaster.<br />

—Letters from all parts arrive (from Turriff) at<br />

11.15 a.m., and are despatched <strong>the</strong>reto at 4.50 p.m.<br />

Letters from all parts arrive (from Banff) at 1.25 p.m.<br />

and (from Keith) at 2.50 p.m., and are despatched to<br />

Keith at 1.25 p.m., and Banff at 2.50 p.m.<br />

arrive from Huntly at 2.45 p.m.,<br />
