928. The protector (Rakshanah).<br />
Of <strong>the</strong> worlds by assuming <strong>the</strong> Satva quality.<br />
929. The holy ones (Santab).<br />
Those who walk along <strong>the</strong> good path are holy men.<br />
The Lord himself has taken <strong>the</strong> shape <strong>of</strong> holy men for <strong>the</strong><br />
increase <strong>of</strong> knowledge and modesty.<br />
930. The sustainer <strong>of</strong> life (Jlvanah).<br />
Of all beings in <strong>the</strong> shape <strong>of</strong> Prana.<br />
Vya. He gave life to <strong>the</strong> crocodile in <strong>the</strong> form <strong>of</strong> a<br />
Gandharva.<br />
931. He that exists overspreading <strong>the</strong> Universe.<br />

932. Of infinite forms (Anantarupah).<br />
Many are <strong>the</strong> forms <strong>of</strong> Him who shines as <strong>the</strong> whole<br />

The S'ruti (S've. Up., 6-8) says : "The supreme S'akti<br />
<strong>of</strong> Him is declared to be various."<br />
934. Of subdued wrath (Jitamanyuh).<br />
Vya. Even to <strong>the</strong> crocodile, <strong>the</strong> enemy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
elephant, He gave <strong>the</strong> Gandharva state.<br />
935. The destroyer <strong>of</strong> fear (Bhayapahah).<br />
