Or <strong>the</strong> protector <strong>of</strong> virtuous ones. The root Krit is<br />
used here in <strong>the</strong> sense <strong>of</strong> ' protection '. Roots having a<br />
common meaning are used in a special sense in certain<br />
cases. For instance, <strong>the</strong> word kuru in Kuru Kdshthani<br />
(make fuel) means '<br />
fetch'.<br />
251. Stainless (Shchih).<br />
(250 and 251) Vya. As one ; making <strong>the</strong> devotees,<br />
shining according to <strong>the</strong>ir devotion, which <strong>the</strong>y are not<br />
deprived <strong>of</strong> at any time.<br />
252. He whose objects are fulfilled (Siddharthah).<br />
He obtains whatever he desires. The S'ruti (Chcha.<br />
" Truthful is His wish."<br />
Up., 8-1-5) says :<br />
Vya. Smriti says : " There is nothing ei<strong>the</strong>r to fulfil<br />
or to be fulfilled."<br />
253. Of accomplished resolutions (Siddhasankalpah).<br />
The S'ruti (Chcha. Up., 8-1-5) says : "Truth is His<br />
resolve."<br />
254. The bestower <strong>of</strong> Siddhis (Siddhidah).<br />
On <strong>the</strong> performers according to <strong>the</strong>ir desert.<br />
255. He is <strong>the</strong> means <strong>of</strong> Siddhis (Siddhisadanah). (40)<br />
Vya. Even at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong> performance <strong>of</strong> action, <strong>the</strong><br />
devotees feel happiness.<br />
256. The performer <strong>of</strong> Dharma-sacrifice (Vrishahl).<br />

257. The showerer (Vrishabhah).<br />

Of desired objects to His devotees.<br />
Vya. .He gives life to his devotees scorched by <strong>the</strong><br />
