Chapter 6: Member Operations 152 4 Modify the following Create Archive options as necessary: In the Archive Description field, enter a description of the member. IMPORTANT The Ã options, such as Close Change Package, appear only if change packages are enabled. In the Author field, if necessary, enter your user name. The user name specified in the Add Members command configuration appears by default. In the Revision Number field, if necessary, enter a revision number for the member. Source Integrity creates the revision number 1.1 by default. NOTE If specifying a revision number, 0.0 and 0.1 are acceptable revision numbers. u s e r g u i d e
Managing Project Members In the Data Type field, select a file data type from the list. The archive is stored in the specified format. The available options are: Auto means the file data type is determined automatically by Source Integrity. Text is the file format expected by text file editors. Binary is file data type containing unprintable characters or lines too long to be handled by text editors. In the field for On Existing Archive, the following options apply in the event that Source Integrity finds an existing archive for the member you propose to add: Query <strong>User</strong> causes Source Integrity to ask you for confirmation on the action to be taken. Share Archive causes Source Integrity to use the existing archive for the new member. Create New Archive causes Source Integrity to create a new archive for the new member. Source Integrity automatically generates the archive name and leaves the old archive unmodified. Cancel causes Source Integrity to cancel the operation. In the field for Close Change Package, select one of the following options: Yes causes Source Integrity to close the associated change package. No causes Source Integrity to keep the associated change package open. Confirm causes Source Integrity to ask you for confirmation on the action to be taken. To lock the revision, select the Lock Revision option. To replace literal values in the revision with keywords, select the Unexpand Keywords option. 5 To accept the information, click OK.
