Check Out Dialog Box Tab Revision to Check Out Options
Performing Member Operations
Labels Allows you to select a revision to check out by label. Select a label from the label
list.
Project allows you set the member revision for the following options:
Member revision on Variant allows you to make a specific variant revision the
member revision.
Member revision on a Project Build allows you to make a specific build revision
or label the member revision.
General Specifies the following general check out options:
Lock Revision checks out a writable working file and ensures that other users
cannot make changes to the revision by locking the revision. A revision must be
checked out locked if strict locking is enabled, and you intend to make changes
to it.
Overwrite Working File if Changed (graphical user interface only) overwrites the
working file even if it has been modified.
Overwrite if Deferred Operation Pending (graphical user interface only)
overwrites the working file if the file has changed and there is a deferred
operation pending on the member.
Change Package options, appear only when change packages are enabled.
Line Terminator (Web interface only) determines the type of line terminator
Source Integrity uses when dealing with members: lf (or line feed, primarily for
UNIX applications), or crlf.
Advanced Specifies the following advanced check out options:
Update Member Revision causes the revision you check out to become the new
member revision of the project. For example, if the current project member is
listed as Revision 2.3 and you check out Revision 1.7 with the Update Member
Revision option selected, Revision 1.7 replaces Revision 2.3 as the member
revision of the project.
Force Creation of New Branch causes Source Integrity to force the creation of a
new branch on check out.
Merge Working File if Changed (graphical user interface only) automatically
merges any changes from the revision being checked out into the working file.
Restore Revision Timestamp (graphical user interface only) sets the timestamp
of the working file, to which the revision is checked out, to the date and time of
the revision in the history. If this option is not set, the working file’s timestamp is
set to the current date and time.
Create Branch if Variant causes Source Integrity to create a branch off of the
revision you are checking out, if you are working in a variant sandbox and this is
the first time the member is checked out. This reduces the possibility of locking
conflicts with the member while work is being done in the variant and regular
sandboxes.
In the Web interface only, select from one of the following options:
Select Yes to create a branch.
Select No to not create a branch.
Select Confirm to be asked for confirmation of the action to be taken.
