Configuring the
Column Set
By default, this guide describes how to perform steps using the mouse. For
your convenience, an alternate way to perform many of those same steps is
available using the keyboard.
Access Keys
Keyboard access keys appear as underlined letters on a menu command, or
as a dialog box option, allowing you to access most items on the interface.
You use the access keys by pressing and holding the ALT key, then the key
indicated by the underlined letter.
Access keys can also be used in a sequence, for example, ALT, F, S. This
sequence means press down and hold ALT, and then press F, and then S. In
the main application window, performing this sequence would open the
Select a Sandbox window.
Shortcut Keys
For some commands, shortcut keys are provided as well as access keys.
Shortcuts appear on menus opposite their command names. For example,
in the Sandbox window:
pressing the INSERT key is the same as selecting the Add Members
command from the Sandbox menu or the Import Members command
from the Project menu
pressing the F2 function key is the same as selecting the Check Out
command from the Member menu
The information in any window displays in columns with headings and
icons. You can configure these columns in many different ways to suit your
needs, including changing the sort order, and adding or removing
columns.
Configuring Column Sorting
You can sort the information in each column in an ascending or descending
order. An arrow appears indicating the sort order and the members are
sorted accordingly.
Columns such as Name, Label and State are sorted alphabetically, while
columns such as Member Rev., and C.P.ID are sorted numerically. The
Locked column first sorts alphabetically by the locker’s name (the user that
has a lock on the member) and then it sorts numerically by the date of the
lock timestamp. The delta column is sorted by the delta types. The default
sort order for columns is descending.
